Thread Painting Workshop
In the class, eight techniques will be covered and applied to a beautiful panel. You will learn step by step basic instructions for:
1. Free motion quilting
2. dimensional thread painting
3. Trapunto
4. application of multiple overlays
5. various applications of 3D layering
6. bobbin work
7. blocking and squaring a quilt
8. applying crystals
More importantly, you will learn the proper steps of creating these varying techniques, but also why and when to apply them to a quilt! You will see the effects of various techniques and supplies and how they can create added interest of texture and dimension to a piece of art.
Proof of vaccination will be required for this event in lieu of mask wearing.
The workshop will be held at Masonboro Forest Clubhouse to provide adequate space. This clubhouse is roughly 10-15 mins away from our shop. The address of the clubhouse is 4900 Nicholas Creek Circle, Wilmington NC 28409
