FOR ANYONE NEW TO SEWING:
SEWING MACHINE 101
Bring that sewing machine you haven’t taken out of the box
or is collecting dust to our crash course on: what’s a presser
foot, where’s the tension, do you feed the feed dogs and more.
This workbook class will send you home with a binder and samples
to help you after the class.

KIMONO – BASIC SEWING
In three weeks make short a Kimono robe or beach cover up with
this no pattern technique. This is a good class for beginners
as it
is almost all straight lines, just a few techniques. And no fitting!
3 Sessions, Monday, July 14 – 28, 6:30 – 8:30 pm. $45,

PILLOW – BASIC SEWING
In this three week class, you will make a pillow with piping and
a zipper, All the basic techniques needed to make a decorative
pillow. If time allows, we will look at other type of pillows.
3 Sessions, Monday, August 4 – 18, 6:30 – 8:30 pm.

BASIC SEWING 101 - Clothing construction/ home dec/crafts
This 6 week class takes you from planning your garment for yourself
or a child, and getting a pattern or measurements to cutting
and sewing. Many techniques and ideas will be highlighted as
each class
member works on a project of their choice. You may also choose
to bring in garments to be altered. 6 weeks Monday, September
15 – October
20, 6:30 – 8:30 pm. $75, additional supplies needed. (Fran

SEWING STUDIO:
If you have a project you want to tackle but think you might need
a little help – Sewing Studio is for you! Are those UFO’s
still lying around the house but you can’t seem to find the
time, space or encouragement to complete them – Sewing Studio
is for you! We will have both a quilt instructor and a fashion/home
decorating teacher to assist you in finishing your project or help
you through a step you are "stuck" on. 1 - 4 pm, Second
and Fourth Tuesday and second Saturday of each month. One price whether
you stay 15 minutes or three hours. $5 if materials purchased at
Sewing Circle, $15 if materials in project were purchased elsewhere.
Preregistration not required but helpful.

QUILTING CLASSES:
FAST FAT QUARTER QUILT
Suitable for beginners: This big block quilt has plenty of interest
and can be made from 6 or eighteen different fat quarters. A
fun quilt to incorporate a bigger print or just highlight a group
of
fabrics. Andrea made the sample for this quilt out of neutrals,
but the possibilities are endless. 2 sessions, Wednesday, July

BEGINNING QUILTING – ILLINOIS ROAD
With just three fabrics, this darling baby quilt makes a great
gift for any new mother or child. Simple cutting and piecing
make it
a great beginner quilt. You we also learn sandwiching, quilting,
and binding. 4 sessions, Thursday, August 28 – September

“BOX LUNCH” TABLE RUNNER
Good for beginners. A good way to use up leftover 2 ½ strips
or any fabric pieces, this table runner can be made up with darks
and lights or prints and planes. Many different looks are possible
with how you place the fabrics. This class will include finishing
the table runner. 2 Sessions , Tuesday September 9 + 16, 9 am – noon.

COFFEE KLATCH QUILT
Warm browns, bright colors and the herringbone design make this
a striking quilt. Add a little whimsy with appliquéd coffee
cups and pots, this makes a fun kitchen quilt or table cover. 3

WINTER LANDSCAPE
We did the beach scape, now it is time to get ready for the coming
season with this beautiful winter scene. Join Barbara to learn

SERGER BASICS
Learn the secrets of threading and rethreading, how you sew differently
with a serger and make the most of the differential feed and
rolled edge.

GIRLS SERGED RUFFLED DRESS
This simple pull over dress will charm any little girl with its
gathered skirt and ruffled hem. You will learn many techniques
on your 4
thread serger as you complete it in one session. Multi size pattern

SERGED FABRIC BASKET
Make a fabric basket for any occasion. Create a fancy edging with
the serger and make a few ties and it is done. A great seasonal

SMOCKING AND HEIRLOOM
BASIC SMOCKING - BISHOP
Begin with a dress that has been cut out and pleated for you and
learn the technique of smocking on a curve. The last class will
be completing construction of the dress. $65 includes the preparation
of the dress. Participants are required to purchase fabric at
least one week before class so fabric can be prepared. 4 sessions,

SOFTWARE
3D/4D PRO SOFTWARE
Linda Stanley offers a 3D/4D professional software class on the
third Thursday of each month 9:30 – 11:30 am. These classes are
good for anyone even new owners of the 3D/4D Professional system
software. Different parts of the program are worked on each month.
$15 YOU MUST PREREGISTER WITH Fran’s Sewing Circle or Linda
Stanley. Due to special program, this class will meet April 24
instead of April 17.
4D Embroidery, Flower of the Month
This class will use the basic 4D embroidery module, therefore,
anyone with 4D software (4D Embroidery, 4D Extra, and 4D Professional)
will benefit from this class. Each month, that month’s flower
will be the central part of the block and we will create a unique
border around it. When completed, the 12 blocks can be put into
a quilt. Third Friday of the month, 10 am – noon, $15. Always
check calendar for correct date.

Exploring the Menues
This class takes a quick look
at the highlights of each of the menus of stitches in the
